I thought I had lost this photo forever but was delighted to find it on an old photo disc!!! You can imagine how long ago it was when you look at me and my (original) dark hair. It was taken some place in New Jersey at a three day watercolor workshop. Burt Silverman is such a fantastic guy... so friendly, well informed and talkative. We did watercolor portraits from models. He had us prepare our smoth, hot press paper with a white, designer gouache paint and let it dry before we did our watercolor. It gave us the ability to work the watercolor.... a new experience. I admire his work more than any other living artist and hated selling my book by him with his autograph.... but I always have those great memories.
