Drawing lessons!

Just came across this old, large pencil drawing
I did about 59 years ago on aging newsprint.  It was my first year at the Boston Museum Art School when they kept us from using color until the 2nd year.  This was part of my final exam in anatomy which was to draw two manikins fighting.  I look at it now and wonder how I did it... the teacher's sketch is in the right corner - I got a good grade.
I am so thankful for those life drawing classes and emphasis on form, anatomy and values.  Those were wonderful years in a small school with amazing teachers.  It is so huge and different today.
